Coloured Concrete — Gold Coast

Coloured concrete carries pigment through the full depth of the mix, giving a consistent colour that works with most finishes. It's a straightforward way to tie driveways, paths and outdoor areas into your home's palette.

Applications

Colour lets driveways and paths complement the brickwork, render and roofing instead of staying plain grey. Patios and entertaining areas can take warmer or cooler tones to suit outdoor furniture and landscaping.

Colour is also commonly combined with exposed aggregate or stencil patterns for a more individual result.

Options and finishes

A range of pigments is available, from charcoals and greys through to terracotta and sandstone tones. Samples help you choose against your home in natural light.

Coloured concrete can be broom finished, exposed or stencilled, so colour and texture are chosen together. A sealer enriches the colour and protects the surface — the care involved is explained at handover.

What affects your quote

Every site is different, so we don't quote from a price list. These are the things Tony looks at during the site assessment before your written quote is prepared.

  • Colour against the home's existing materials and roof
  • Sun exposure — lighter colours generally stay cooler underfoot
  • Sealing and cleaning preferences over time
  • How coloured areas meet existing plain concrete

Coloured Concrete FAQs

How is the colour added?

Pigment is blended through the concrete mix itself, so the colour runs through the full depth rather than sitting on the surface.

Will the colour fade?

Coloured surfaces benefit from sealing and periodic resealing to keep them looking their best. We explain realistic expectations before you choose.

Can I see colour samples first?

Yes. Tony brings colour options to the site assessment so you can see them against your home in natural light.

Can colour be combined with exposed aggregate?

Yes — a coloured base with a chosen stone blend is a common combination. See the exposed aggregate page for how the stone selection works.
