Pool Surrounds — Gold Coast
A pool surround needs to handle water, bare feet and Queensland sun while looking right against your pool and home. We pour concrete pool surrounds across the Gold Coast with finishes chosen for comfort and grip.

Applications
We pour full surrounds for new pools, coordinated with your pool builder's levels and coping. Where a surround has dated, we remove the old pavers or concrete and lay a new finish matched to the pool and the home.
Surrounds can also extend into alfresco and entertaining areas so the whole outdoor space carries one consistent finish.
Options and finishes
Exposed aggregate is a popular choice around pools for its texture, with stone blends selected with barefoot comfort in mind. Broom and other textured finishes offer practical, grippy surfaces in plain or coloured concrete.
Colour through the mix lets the surround complement the pool interior, fencing and landscaping rather than staying plain grey.
What affects your quote
Every site is different, so we don't quote from a price list. These are the things Tony looks at during the site assessment before your written quote is prepared.
- Drainage falls so water moves away from the pool and the house
- Barefoot comfort of the chosen finish and stone blend
- How the surround meets coping, fencing and existing surfaces
- Sun exposure and how the surface colour will look in full light

Pool Surrounds FAQs
Which finish is best around a pool?
Exposed aggregate and textured finishes are commonly chosen for grip. Comfort underfoot depends on the stone blend, so we discuss samples during the site visit.
Can you work around my existing pool?
Yes. We form up to the existing coping and levels, and coordinate with any fencing or landscaping work you have planned.
How is drainage handled?
The surround is laid to falls that direct water away from the pool and buildings. Drainage is planned during the site assessment and itemised in your quote.
Will the concrete get hot in the sun?
All hard surfaces warm up in direct sun; lighter colours generally stay cooler than dark ones. We can talk through colour choices with this in mind.
